MCL Productions was back at it again with Poof Doof to present their roaming ‘Drag Jamboree’ takeover at the 2020 Pitch Music & Arts Festival in the Grampian Mountain Range back in March of this year.
For the roaming stage we converted a neighbouring farm’s tractor and flat-bed trailer into a rainbow farm themed performance space which we lapped around the grounds and landed in a shady area in the centre of the festival.
We also created a custom portable, collapsable cocktail bar for the queen’s to serve up fresh mimosa’s to the crowd from throughout the activation which took place on the Saturday afternoon of the 4 day event.
In respect to the sustainable nature of the festival’s ethos, we decided to use a collection of previously created and recycled elements to ensure our impact was minimal.
The giant flowers which we crafted using neon craft paper made frequent appearances over the previous summer period.
The white farm fencing surrounding the trailer we scored from a storage neighbour/furniture distributor who was taking what was previously new furniture packing to the dump.
All of the other elements were ‘essentials’ pulled from storage.
